SimbiòTIC: Driving the digital transformation of the Third Sector
SimbiòTIC is a project created by Taula d’entitats del Tercer Sector Social de Catalunya, through m4Social, its digital innovation programme, in collaboration with the SinergiaTIC Association. This project is supported by European Next Generation funds, and aims to accelerate the digitalisation of social institutions in Catalonia in order to improve their data management and the care they provide for people. With the adoption of technologies such as SinergiaCRM and personalised support for over eighty organisations, SimbiòTIC aims to transform the sector and enhance the social impact of the institutions involved.
A cultural change towards efficient management
SimbiòTIC seeks to help social institutions in a process of cultural change that promotes efficient data management. By providing support and resources, it facilitates the adoption of SinergiaCRM, a customer relationship management (CRM) software package specifically for use in the Third Sector. The project also focuses on the continuous improvement of this tool, adapting it to the current and future needs of social organisations.
The impact of this initiative leads to better internal management of the participating institutions and their ability to relate to their social base. SimbiòTIC also aims to reach thousands more organisations in the future, thereby maximising the benefits of this digital transformation.
What is SinergiaCRM?
SinergiaCRM is a solution developed by the SinergiaTIC Association to help institutions in the Third Sector to comprehensively manage their relationships and interactions with users and other social agents. This software offers a comprehensive overview of each person, providing up-to-date and well-structured information that facilitates decision-making and the planning of social interventions. It also helps to establish common frameworks for data exchanges with public administrations, optimising processes such as fundraising, communication and grant management.
The need for digitalisation of the sector
Only 25% of Third Sector institutions in Catalonia currently have a CRM, and 62% of these are experiencing difficulties with digitalisation due to a lack of resources, according to a study by m4Social. SimbiòTIC is a response to this growing need, and offers not only an advanced technological tool, but also the support necessary to ensure it is implemented and adapted.
A collaborative project
Eight federations in the Third Social Sector Organisations Committee of Catalonia are actively involved in SimbiòTIC: Federació Catalana del Voluntariat Social, Federació Salut Mental Catalunya, Dincat, Federació d’Entitats amb Projectes i Pisos Assistits, ECOM, ECAS, Minyons Escoltes i Guies de Catalunya, and Voraviu. These federations will play a crucial role in the implementation of SinergiaCRM in around eighty grassroots institutions and in defining the new features that must be added to the tool in order to adapt it to the needs of the sector.
The project also offers training and support with expert professionals, who provide the institutions with guidance throughout the process involved in the implementation and adaptation of SinergiaCRM, ensuring an optimal digital transition.
